Slim Jim is sad, wondering if he'll meet you!

Everyday I'm shocked that a family hasn't snatched up this beautiful, loving boy.

He loves to watch me, everywhere I go. His favorite is loading and unloading the dishwasher. He definately is a "mama's helper". As soon as you sit down, he snuggles his head in your lap, so you can love and hug on him.

If you take a trip to the store, he would love to join you. Slim loves going to the library and grocery store with me! His favorite though, is a walk..anywhere. He likes to walk close to you, so watch your step!

I tried to get a video of him rooing, but he knows when I pull out the camera. Here, I'm trying, very poorly to get him to play..he's very interested in my camera and not being his usual goofball self. Like the shoe hanging out in the hallway? That was Bart, not Slim Jim playing with the shoe. I have not seen Slim get the taste for shoes, yet : )
Please consider meeting Slim Jim! He is a absolute lover and such a good boy! I would love to see him with his very own forever home! That would be the best gift I could give him! (aside from a good squeekie toy)

Slim Jim wants to meet you!

Slim Jim has been waiting patiently to meet his new family. We began fostering him in November. He came to us recovering from a broken leg injury, but don't let that deter you from considering him. He can play, do stairs, sit, fetch, go for walks and give you lots of loving just like the best of them!

Here, Slim Jim is keeping up with Bart, playing in the fresh snow in the backyard. Slimmie gets along well with our pack, we have 2 females and 1 male. He does need supervision when you are giving him "high value" treats and toys, if you have other hounds at home. He is a young guy with entitlment issues : )

Slim Jim was a slow learner when it came to stairs, the doggie door and especially "sit". Once he learned them, he was so proud of himself! He will be great at any other trick you want to teach him. One trick that he knew was "fetch". He was our only foster that will go after his toys and bring them back to you repeatedly. He loves his toys!

Slimmie loves his humans. He is the only foster that has not tried to get on the couch or sneak onto the bed. He loves to snuggle with you, if you sit on the floor with him, or he'll rest his face in your lap for face rubs and kisses.

As much as he loves his people, he is overly excited when he sees small dogs, so I would not recommend a dog park for this pup. He walks well on a leash, but with all those strange enviromental noises, I would suggest a harness. He's still a bit on the shy side when it comes to strange places. Though at the pet store, he will not hesitate to go toy shopping for himself.

This beauty loves to sing in our nightly rooing sessions, hopefully I will get a video of that for you next time. He only barks out the window when my dogs start..he's just following suit. He'll sit quitely in his crate if you are home, if you leave the home, we'd recommend you muzzle instead of crate.

Every day we see more and more personality come out! He's definately ready for his forever home. Could your's be the one he's been waiting for?
